AUD/USD falls to a low of 0.7165
Uh oh, the upside momentum in AUD/USD looks to be encountering some real trouble now as price slips towards a test of the 200-hour MA (blue line). Break below that and the near-term bias turns more bearish and could precipitate a further fall in the coming sessions.
The dollar is rising on the back of a broader bid across the board with the greenback hitting a session highs against the likes of the yen, loonie and kiwi as well.
European currencies have also seen their gains against the greenback erased with EUR/USD falling to 1.1400 again while GBP/USD is back to flat levels on the day at 1.2862 currently.
