10 year yield are mixed
The major European indices are ending the session with solid gains:
- German DAX is up 1.2%
- France's CAC is up 1.2%
- UK's FTSE is up 0.9%
- Spain's Ibex is of 0.2%
- Italy's FTSE MIB is up 1.25%
- Portugal's PSI 20 bucked the trend and fell -0.53%
In the 10 year note sector yields are ending the session mixed. The German ten year fell -1.1 bps, while Italy's rate rose 3.6 bps. Below is a summary of the changes.
IN other markets as London/European traders look to exit shows:
- spot gold of $1.46 or 0.12% at $1226
- WTI crude oil futures are up $1 or 1.42% at $68.90
- Bitcoin is up $500 and $8200. The price is above the 100 day MA but is still below the 200 day MA at $8666 (see post here)
In the US debt market, yields are higher. The 10 year is up 1.1 bps at 2.965%. The high reached 2.971%. The 3.0% is still a key target.
US stocks are showing a rotation in the NY session. The Nasdaq was leading earlier (up over 1%), and the Dow 30 was lagging . Now the Dow is leading and the Nasdaq is lagging.
- The Dow is up 0.82% up 205 points
- The S&P is up 16 points or 0.57%
- The Nasdaq is up 33 points or 0.42%
In the forex market, the AUD is the strongest, the CHF is the weakest. The USD remains lower but on par with the EURs decline vs the majors now.
