No real news. Just a drift back down.

The last few minutes have seen the major stock indices rotate little more to the downside. The major indices are still up on the day but off the highest levels. The changes are currently near the middle of the trading ranges for the major indices.

  • The S&P index is currently up 1.14%. The high reached 1.49%. The low extended to 0.75%
  • The NASDAQ index is currently up 1.06%. It's high was up 1.61%. It's a low was at +0.43%
  • Dow is up 1.22%. It's high extended to up 1.63%. It's low was up 0.97%.

Of note is that the Russell 2000 index of small-cap stocks is outperforming by quite a bit. It is currently up 2.84% after reaching a high 3.1%. So there seems to be a rotation out of the large cap stocks, to the small-cap stocks. For the week the Russell 2000 is up 4.61%, but is down -20.97% on the year. The S&P index, in contrast is up 2.94% for the week and down -9.81% for the year.
