November is a dud for the pound
Finally a turn for the pound? Probably not in November.
Over the past 30 years, November has been the second-worst month for cable with an average decline of 0.8%. It's declined in eight of the past 10 years as well.
It's been a dismal run for the pound. Including a 5.7% decline in October, the pound has now fallen in six straight month.
The Brexit confusion continues and that's likely to be a continued headwind. We found out that Bank of England Governor Mark Carney will stay a few more years but that doesn't change the likelihood of businesses closing up shop or refusing to invest.
