US stock open mixed. Nasdaq up. S&P and Dow down.

Nasdaq having best monthly gain since January rush higher.

The US stocks are open with mixed results:

• the S&P is down -3 points or 0.10% at 2898.10
• the NASDAQ is up 10.8 points or 0.14% at 8099.8
• the Dow is down -51 points or -0.20% at 25936

The NASDAQ indexes having the best August in 18 years and the index is having its best monthly gain since January's rush higher.

US yields are lower, with the 2-10 year spread dipping below the 20 bp level again.
