Modest changes in the major indices at the start of the day

The premarket for US equities moved higher and then back lower. As the bell rings at the major exchanges, the major indices are trading mixed:

  • WTI crude oil futures are trading down $0.24 or -0.41% at $57.99

in the US debt market yields are lower:

  • 2 year 1.557%, -1.2 basis points
  • 10 year 1.786%, -2.45 basis points
  • 30 year 2.241%, -2.8 basis points

The CHF remains the strongest of the major currencies. The NZD has taken over as the weakest currency from the AUD at the start of the US session.

The Swiss franc is the strongest and the New Zealand dollar is the weakest
