Nasdaq leads again
The US stocks are opening with gains. Each of the major indices closed at records yesterday. So anything positive today, would be a new record close. The Nasdaq moved above the 7K level on Tuesday for the first time. That was a milestone. We are near 7100 currently.
The Dow is reaching its next milestone as it prints 25K for the first time ever.
The numbers:
- S&P index is up 9.4 points or 0.35% at 2722.44
- NASDAQ composite index is up 28.75 points or 0.40% at 7093.5
- The Dow industrial average is trading at 25014 up 92 points or 0.3%
Some winners:
- Alphabet of 0.65%
- Microsoft up 0.71%
- J.P. Morgan up 1.2%
- Nvidia up 0.90%
- Alibaba of 1.34%
- Goldman Sachs of 0.97%
- Caterpillar up 1.03%
Losers include:
- Intel -4.65%. It continues to be hit on the back of the chip security problem.
- Celgene -1.24%
- Tesla -2.62%
- First Solar -2.54%
- Twitter down -0.94%
