Talk Trump wants a deal
The Canadian dollar and Mexican peso are strong today after an earlier report that Trump sent a letter to Mexico's Lopez Obrador saying he wanted a NAFTA deal done quickly.
Today Canada's Freeland is in Mexico City to meet the incoming officials while tomorrow Mexico's economy minister will be in Washington to discuss NAFTA.
USD/CAD is at the lows of the day now, down 60 pips to 1.3092. The July 11 low was 1.3065 and the 55-day moving average is at 1.3061.
