Latest data released by Destatis - 29 March 2018
- Prior m/m +0.3%
- CPI y/y +1.6% vs +1.5% prior
Also released at the time are Hesse and Bavaria figures:
- Hesse CPI m/m +0.4% vs +0.4% prior
- Hesse CPI y/y +1.5% vs +1.1% prior
- Bavaria CPI m/m +0.5% vs +0.5% prior
- Bavaria CPI y/y +1.7% vs +1.6% prior
It's a theme across the state CPI readings today, that we're seeing a bit of a rebound compared to prior figures - which were partially distorted by food stuff readings.
The pattern here suggests that the national level will also follow suit with a better-than-prior reading later at 1200 GMT. The national reading is expected to come in at +1.7% y/y. Prior reading was +1.4% y/y.
