Jamie Coleman commenced the ForexLive model after being involved, I think, with Thompson Reuters and having a similar programme that got shut down due to cost cuts ( I stand corrected in the finer details)….he took the concept to FXDD and joined up to run with it under their auspice and patronage ….unlike other sites there is no marketing of outside businesses, unless he is trying to flog handbags !! Jamie and Gerry had worked together in the same area/business unit (in fact Gerry was Jamie’s boss for a while and they have been friends for yonks).
Sean joined when they needed someone with nouse to cover Asia and I am a trading associate of Sean’s…boom boom….
Jamie and Gerry do not trade; Sean and I both do but with bigger picture positions; we do not trade while we are on the site and are not influenced by our general views/ trading strategy….we comment on how we see it and pass on info as we hear it regardless of whether it’s contrary to our own view or not..
We try and give a balance mix of market talk/whispers/rumour and real orders we are told exist by real traders/reliable sources; these are people we have maybe worked with or known for long periods over years.
