There’s a justifiable focus on Germany’s EFSF vote on Thursday but Finland votes on the EFSF today. Given all the fuss they’ve been making about collateral, this could be interesting. The government doesn’t have a majority but the coalition has 124 of the 200 seats.

The finmin said last week “I hope and think it is likely the changes go through.”

An academic is also quoted saying there’s “a very high chance” it passes but warns that a future failure to improve collateral could reverse the vote.

Yesterday a senior member of the coalition said he was “completely sure” it would pass but there are no sure things in politics, so be on guard.

Other events today that are not on this handy calendar that Sean posted or our main economic calendar include a speech from the SNB’s Jordan and the French 2012 budget. No times are specified.
