The BOE’s Miles defended last week’s QE in a speech to the Royal Economic Society and warned of slow growth:
- UK surveys have deteriorated markedly
- They suggest GDP to be broadly flat in Q4
- QE will drive up risk assets
- And alleviate bank funding stress
