The lack of activity in the last few hours of North American trade doesn’t augur well for the Asian session, with most of the major pairs stuck in very tight ranges. Today’s big afternoon event will be the BOJ meeting which really got the Yen market moving last time. There are still some observers calling for additional easing measures but the weight of professional opinion seems to be that the BOJ will now wait and see what results follow on from the latest policies.

Australian business confidence data might create some minor volatility and the spate of recent comments from the Chinese regarding the value of the Yuan and the RRR are likely to continue.

Good luck today.
