Bill Gross says QE3 is a ‘near certainty’ after the Jackson Hole speech but he doesn’t say when.
Zerohedge also has Goldman’s take on the speech, which they title “Bernanke Makes Case for Effectiveness of Unconventional Easing”
Goldman didn’t have a strong takeaway either way but they didn’t change their call from QE3 in Dec/Jan… at least not yet.
Overall, there has been a surprising dissonance among Fedwatchers on this one.
