Early rumors of a Spanish downgrade early in the day never gained traction. The market was stuck in neutral with EUR/USD ranging between 1.2768 and 1.2794 in US trading.
Cable edged to a session low below 1.5960 but was only able to press a few pips lower. Afterwards, it was back in the 1.5980/60 range.
USD/JPY hit some minor stops below 1.2775 but quickly rebounded.
Gold +$8 to $1684.
