It seems as if everyone is in favor of shorting the yen but not HSBC.
The U.K.-based bank concludes that, like the many cycles of yen weakness seen over the past decade, this one will eventually reverse. HSBC is maintaining its forecast that the yen will strengthen by the end of the year, sending the dollar/yen rate back down to Y78.
