There was some talk of a short-term funding bill, even one as short as one week but that’s no longer likely.
Here are the latest comments from Senator majority leader Harry Reid:
- House Republicans are ‘anarchists’
- ‘Our negotiations is over with’
- When told the new House plan was to delay individual mandate in Obamacare said ‘We’ll get rid of that’
Reid said Senators will stick around but only to reject whatever Obamacare repeals the House throws at them.
By my estimate, the chance of the shutdown happening tonight now at about 90% from 75% earlier.
