It takes a leap of faith to believe that something so simple as seasonals could work. It took me years to even consider looking at seasonals and I’m still skeptical but they often work, as the February picks showed.

March is a weaker month for AUD/USD but one of the most glaring examples of seasonal strength on any chart is AUD/USD in April where the pair averages a 2.8% gain including 8 of the past 9 years. The lone loser was last year and even then, the pair was up 1.6% midway through the month before the kangaroo jumped off a cliff.

For now it’s better to be a shark and wait for an appetizing level than to be a pig but don’t be pip-starved at the end of April.
