I went on vacation for a week and World War 3 broke out. Gold and oil are rallying. European stocks are hemorrhaging and S&P 500 futures are down 16 points.
One of my rules of trading news is to fade disasters and that also means to fade geopolitical worries.
Ukraine is a perfect example. The mainstream media is a fear-making machine and the Russian boogieman is one of the oldest, scariest villains. I don’t know how it will play out but I know two things: 1) Ukraine is a small economy in the worldwide scale 2) If global thermal nuclear war breaks out we’re all done for.
