Unidentified soldiers stormed and seized a Ukrainian military base today, killing one soldier.
I don’t understand Ukraine’s response or the response of its military. If they want to defend Crimea, they better start defending it. If you’re soldiers are going to flee every time the Russians storm the gates, why even have them there? Or maybe they’re planning a response. ZeroHedge has some more details, including a source who says a battalion of Ukraine special forces approx 20 miles from the Russian border and on the move.
That might be about to happen as the Ukraine defense minister is also on the wires saying the military is allowed to use ares to protect their lives after the solider was killed in Simferopol. Does that mean they’re still not allowed to use their guns to protect the bases?
Also, whatever happened to that truce agreement that was supposed to last until Friday?
