The IMF sent out its first money truck convoy to Ukraine yesterday to the tune of $3.2bn and their Ukraine office head, Jerome Vacher has today said they can use it to pay off their gas debt. He also says that the IMF are monitoring the situation in Eastern Ukraine or its impact on the economy.
Ukraine has been promised $17bn over the next two years. That should keep Mike and his kettle happy for a bit.
