Philippine maritime police seized a Chinese fishing boat and 11 crew for fishing for turtles which may be under Philippine protection laws. The vessel was seized off of Half Moon Shoal off the Nansha Islands. The boat and crew have been towed to Puerto Princess to have charges filed.
China’s state news service claimed that the men were taken by unidentified armed men and that the government are demanding their immediate release.
