WTI crude oil climbed above $101 today for the first time since late April but has slumped in US trading, falling to $100.02. Ukranian geopolitical worries continue to simmer in the background but the market is no longer as fearful.
In the past 9 Fridays, oil has risen on 8 of them partly because of fear and buying ahead of weekend risks in Ukraine.
That’s not the case today and the daily chart also shows a potential bearish outside day (on a close below $99.87).
