Its an article in the Nikkei this morning (Japan time): New head of Japan business lobby seeks corporate tax cut
The next head of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), Sadayuki Sakakibara said:
- “The important thing is to try to bring down the effective corporate tax rate to 25%”
His request was two-pronged:
- a tax cut starting next fiscal year
- and a final rate of 25%, down from the top effective rate of 35.64% in Tokyo and in line with members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
