Ukraine needs to cut gas use by 20% if it’s to see out the winter says the CEO of Naftogaz. If the Gazprom cut off lasts they’ll need to cut down on use during the warmer months to get them through the colder ones. The cut needs to be around 6BCM as they’ve lost between 30-40BCM on a yearly basis due to the loss of the Nord stream.
Even with Ukraine working on back flows from neighbouring countries it looks like Ukraine could be in for some problems when winter kicks in.
