- says EU leaders have withdrawn the ban on supplying Ukrainian govt with military technology and equipment “on the quiet”
According to a statement on its website.
During a recent meeting of Council of Europe in Brussels, leaders of EU member states agreed ” on the quiet” to remove restrictions on exports to Kiev of equipment that could be used for internal repression. Exports of military technologies and equipment were also allowed.
The restrictions were put in place in February, the month that Yanukovich was ousted as Ukraine’s president
EU officials have so far made no response.
