It was a story of “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”, except I’m still looking for the Good.

The Bad (in brief):

  • Factory orders in Germany for June fell … OK then, they collapsed.
  • Italy slipped back into recession (Hello, old friend)

Ryan had these covered as they were announced, the links can be found in the European session wrap … and what a sorry tale that is.

The Ugly:

And, it didn’t get better. USD/JPY copped a thrashing: Flash crash: What just happened to the US dollar?

Meanwhile the USD suffered losses pretty much across the board.

On the bright side, if you’re waiting for a bounce to sell EUR/USD … well, is this all yer gonna get? Comments welcome (as always).
