Statscan have just announced that they found an error in the July jobs data and will be amending it on the 15th. Only the July data has a mistake they say.
Wrong!
They haven’t given a reason or what the problem is but said;
“Statistics Canada takes this matter very seriously and is immediately launching a review of the data verification. This does not affect other statistical programs”
As long as it doesn’t follow the farce we had in initial jobless claims last year it’ll be a one off. Could be fun and games if it is a big difference to what was originally released.
