The pound is holding today’s earlier lows despite the latest wave of US selling.
Maybe that tells us something about the latest polls on the Scottish referendum. TNS is releasing a poll later today and the rumor is 38% Yes (for independence), 39% No and 23% undecided but that’s one of a few rumors.
In any case, there is a tremendous amount of headline risk around any poll results right now and don’t put it past anyone in the markets to start circulating rumors about a poll that shows the separatists way ahead.
