The USDJPY is on alert tonight as BOJ’s Kuroda is scheduled to speak and hold a post speech press conference.

Adam Button wrote an excellent review and preview of the fundamental comments made recently from the central bank head (see https://www.forexlive.com/blog/2014/09/15/preview-will-bank-of-japan-governor-kuroda-hint-at-new-measures-to-weaken-the-yen-in-todays-speech/ )

From a technical perspective, the pair pushed against topside resistance at the 107.35 level last week and again today before moving lower. If Kuroda comments come out more dovish, there could be a surge through that topside resistance area in which case a push toward the 110.00 area is the next major target.
