  • Building approvals and money supply making the largest positive contribution in July
  • The six-month growth rate in the leading economic index between January and July stands at 0.2 percent (about a 0.3 percent annual rate), down considerably from 2.7 percent (about a 5.5 percent annual rate) for the previous six months
  • The strengths among the leading indicators have become less widespread over the past six months
