Australia data from the Housing Industry Association:
- New home sales up 3.3% m/m in August (was down 5.7%l in July)
- Strong 19.8% increase in multi-unit sales
- Detached house sales up 0.5% (up for the first time in four months)
According to HIA economist Diwa Hopkins:
- “we still hold the view that new home sales reached their peak for the cycle back in April this year.”
