German finance minister Wolfgang Schaeuble says that the French budget figures must be assessed while the EU’s Dijsselbloem says he has concerns about the France’s figures for their budget and that the numbers from Paris are not hopeful. He strongly states that there will be “no deals outside of the pact” for France.

Tough words though France has persistently missed the target without any comeback.

Schaeuble adds that he agrees with Dijsselbloem that countries that fall into line with reforms should be rewarded with cheap funds to help with growth.
