From a Bloomberg survey on what to expect from the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC):

  • Survey of 32 economists (conducted 10 to 16 of October)
  • 72% don’t expect another MPC member to vote for an interest-rate increase before February 2015 (last month it was 34%f the surveyed economists)

56% of them expect a BOE rate increase before the May 7 U.K. general election

  • Of those … 68% expect the rate rise in February 2015
  • 21% in March 2015
  • 11% in April 2015

78% of economists say that risks to the economy from the housing market have been adequately addressed
