Livesquawk reporting that the twittersphere is alive with talk of a hostage situation in Belgium
Further details from IBT say that 4 men have stormed a building and authorities have closed the surrounding areas and unconfirmed reports say one person has been taken hostage. No links are yet being made with the situation in Sydney.
Update: According to Ransquawk this situation has been ongoing for a couple of hours now and after quick look around it looks like the news (particularly in the UK) is only just picking this up. Again, there’s no one linking this to Sydney but obviously everyone is a bit on edge.
