The silent march, starting now, is expected to attract over 1 million people after a week of tragic events in Paris where 17 people, including journalists and policemen, lost their lives in three days of violence that began with a shooting attack on the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo

Prime Minister Manuel Valls said

It will be an unprecedented demonstration that will be written in the history books.

It must show the power and dignity of the French people, who will cry out their love of liberty and tolerance

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Britain’s David Cameron and Italian PM Matteo Renzi will be among over 40 foreign leaders marching with President Francois Hollande. Turkey’s Ahmet Davutoglu and Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu – who earlier encouraged French Jews to emigrate to Israel – are also expected to take part.

I have no political or religious bias, just a humble currency trader who now scribbles a few lines as part of his day’s work, but I do know that without freedom of speech there would be no ForexLive.
