Graphics cards are hot commodities these days

In an interview with German tech magazine Computerbase, a Nvidia spokesman said that "gamers come first" and that they recommend their current trading partners make the appropriate arrangements to meet gamers' needs as usual.

Or at least that's the case in Europe. The spokesman also mentioned that there should be a limit so as to the number of cards that can wind up in any one customer's hands.

At the end of last year, I spoke about my experience when I visited my local retail computer mall here. Basically, retailers are not seeing the point in advertising PC setups anymore because mining setups are all the rage these days. And as mentioned in the post then, Nvidia isn't really banking on crypto demand to detract from their core business - or so they say.

Regardless, I don't believe Nvidia will have a direct say to request such measures be implemented - it'll be too difficult to implement and really, at what cost? If they do so, retailers would just move on to AMD. It's all PR talk, and at the end of the day the world still goes round and round.
