Powell widely expected to get the nod
Reuters is out with an interesting profile on Powell. It sounds like he's going to be the accidental Fed chair.
They report that he was angling for a job as the vice-chair for supervision at the Fed but didn't get the job and that set off a chain of events that saw him land on top. It was mostly a case of Trump souring on other options, leaving Powell, who had no real negatives on his resume.
