France estimates for growth and inflation
The Bank of France is out with forecasts for growth and inflation for their country:
- forecast 2017 French growth of 1.8%
- Sees 2018 growth at 1.7%, 2019 growth at 1.8% and 2020 at 1.6%. The prior estimates were for 1.6% growth for 2017, 2018 and 2019
- Sees 2017 French inflation of 1.2%
- 1.4% in 2018, 1.2% in 2019 and 1.6% in 2020.
- Sees output gap closing in 2019; says if reforms boosts potential output, growth could prove stronger than forecast
