UK authorizes larger term funding payments

Bank of England Gov Carney asked to expand the size of the term finding scheme by 25 billion pounds and Chancellor of the Exchequer Phil Hammond approved it. The new maximum is 140B pounds.

In a statement, Carney said the larger scheme will help ensure low rates are passed into the economy.
