BERLIN (MNI) – German Economics Minister Philipp Roesler said
Tuesday that the German export industry will be successful even in a
more adverse global economic environment.

Germany’s exports fell back 1.2% in June, more than analysts had
feared, according to preliminary seasonally adjusted estimates.

“Even though exports are declining somewhat due to the slightly
dampened momentum of the global economy, German industry still holds a
top position,” Roesler said in a statement.

“This is a good sign for the resilience of our economy even in
difficult global economic circumstances,” the minister reckoned.
