BERLIN (MNI) – The German Finance Ministry has no objection to
Greece activating collective action clauses (CAC) to bring the
acceptance rate of private creditors in the debt swap to above 95%, a
spokesman said Friday.

“That is a way that can surely be applied,” ministry spokesman
Martin Kotthaus said at a regular press conference here.

Eurozone finance ministers will discuss at a telephone conference
at 1130 GMT today whether Greece has met all the obligations for the
second aid package to be cleared, Kotthaus said.

If that is the case, the Eurogroup could approve the E30 billion
“sweetener” for the Greek PSI already today, but not the entire aid
package, the spokesman explained. “I assume that the second Greek aid
package will be discussed next week in the Eurogroup,” he said.
