Tokyo's main index closes the day lower as Asian equities are mostly softer

The move in the Nikkei mirrors that of USD/JPY and S&P 500 futures, heading lower post-lunch break as more reports are doing the rounds saying that Trump has fired national security adviser H.R. McMaster.
The firing spree in Washington has dampened the mood in equities across Asia as the Hang Seng is down by 0.07% while major bourses in China, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia are also down.
