Tokyo's main index closes slightly higher on the day - 20 Dec 2017

Asian equities are mildly higher on the day mostly, despite US stocks suffering a bit of a hangover even though the US tax bill vote is expected to go smoothly.
Earlier, the Senate has passed the bill at their end - leaving the House now to vote for the final passage. The vote is expected some time Wednesday morning in the US.
USD/JPY is now at 112.96, falling off a bit after hitting session highs of 113.07 following the tax bill news.
