BERLIN (MNI) – German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said
Friday that there “is no doubt” that the Eurogroup will approve the full
second aid package for Greece next week.

Earlier today, Eurozone finance ministers cleared the E30 billion
“sweetener” for the Greek PSI and E5.5 billion of aid to cover interest
rate payments, Schaeuble said.

The minister said he expected a “significant contribution” of the
IMF to the E130 billion Greek aid package. IMF managing director
Christine Lagarde took part in today’s Eurogroup conference call, he
said.

After the haircut on Greek bonds the country has now “a clear
chance” to overcome its problems, Schaeuble reckoned.

The minister argued that Greece is an unique case and “there is not
the slightest risk” that there will be a haircut on bonds of other
Eurozone member states.
