German police make arrests

A great story from earlier this year was how thieves made away with a 100 kg (220 lb) gold coin from a German museum.

"We assume that the two suspects match the ones seen on the video footage from surveillance cameras" during the burglary, police spokesman Winfrid Wenzel told The Associated Press.

The footage showed the burglars climbing through a window above elevated railway tracks then grabbing the coin and loading it into a wheelbarrow then back across the train tracks, through a park and into a getaway car.

Police suspect the coin was melted down and sold. It was worth nearly $4 million.
