Trump invites over top two Democrats, according to Bloomberg

Dining with the President tonight will be Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. They're the leaders of the Democratic caucuses of the Senate and House, respectively.

The takeaway is that Trump looks like he's trying to put together some kind of bi-partisan tax reform effort. That alone raises the odds of something actually passing by 50%.

It may all be posturing because Democrats haven't been involved so far but Trump may have seen how easy it was to strike a deal with Democrats on the debt ceiling and decided it's his only way to getting the lower corporate tax rate that he believes in.

This could quickly become one of the defining pictures of Trump's Presidency:

"I mean, I've contributed to Schumer, I contribute - I've known Schumer for many, many years,"Trump said last year. "And I have a good relationship with him. The fact is, that I think it is time maybe that we all do get along."
