Trump is on a drug crusade

Trump talked about the death penalty for drug dealers on the weekend and in New Hampshire talked about drug companies.

"Our Department of Justice is looking very seriously into bringing major litigation against some of these drug companies. We'll bring it at a federal level. Some states are already bringing it but we're thinking of bringing it at a very high federal level," he said.

New York city has already sued Allergan Plc, Endo International Plc, Johnson & Johnson, Purdue Pharma LP and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.

Trump also talked about research into non-addictive painkillers. The thing is, every painkiller in history, starting with heroin was initially marketed as 'non-addictive'.

I think any investor with a long-term horizon needs to carefully think about addiction and how it's going to be a major 21st century problem. I talk about it here at the 3 minute mark.
