After his initially comments on Twitter were a failure over the weekend, he will apparently speak to the hate crimes via a "live statement" at the White House.

Earlier today Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier resigned from Trump's American Manufacturing Council saying his resignation was his way of taking a stand against "intolerance and extremism". Frazier is an African-American.

Frazier wrote:

"America's leaders must honor our fundamental views by clearly rejecting expressions of hatred, bigotry and group supremacy, which run counter to the American ideal that all people are created equal".

He added, "As CEO of Merck and as a matter of personal conscience, I feel a responsibility to take a stand against intolerance and extremism,"
