He will be the first President to attend since Bill Clinton in 2000

President Trump is expected to attend the annual World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland this year.

This year's meeting will take place on 23-26 January under the theme "Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World".

"The president welcomes opportunities to advance his America First agenda with world leaders," Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. "At this year's World Economic Forum, the president looks forward to promoting his policies to strengthen American businesses, American industries, and American workers."

Also in US politics, 85-year-old pardoned former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio announced he will run for Jeff Flake's senate seat.
